Itinerary

Day 1 Giza Pyramids & Ancient Egypt

  1. 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Visit the Giza Pyramids Plateau, including Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure.
  2. Photo stop at the Panorama area.
  3. Visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple.
  4. 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Lunch at a restaurant overlooking the pyramids.
  5. 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) or the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir.
  6. Evening: Free time in Downtown Cairo or dinner on a Nile boat.

Day 2 Islamic & Historic Cairo

  1. 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali.
  2. Visit the Sultan Hassan Mosque and Al-Rifa’i Mosque.
  3. 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Lunch featuring traditional Egyptian cuisine in Al-Azhar or Al-Hussein area.
  4. 3:30 PM – 8:00 PM: Walking tour along Al-Muizz Street.
  5. Visit the Qalawun Complex and Bayt Al-Suhaymi.
  6. End the day at Khan El-Khalili Bazaar and enjoy traditional tea at El-Fishawy Café.

Day 3 Coptic Cairo, Mummies & Nile

  1. 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Visit the Coptic Cairo area.
  2. Visit the Hanging Church and Abu Serga Church.
  3. Visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue.
  4. Visit Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque.
  5. 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Lunch at a Nile-view restaurant in Maadi or Zamalek.
  6. 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) and the Royal Mummies Hall.
  7. From 6:00 PM: Felucca ride on the Nile at sunset.
  8. Visit Cairo Tower in Zamalek to enjoy the city views at night.

Day 4 Modern Cairo & Shopping

  1. 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Visit Abdeen Palace or Manasterly Palace and the Nilometer on Rhoda Island.
  2. 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Shopping and lunch at a modern shopping mall such as City Stars or Cairo Festival City.
  3. Evening: Transfer to the airport or train station for departure.

  1. Transportation: Ride-hailing applications such as Uber or Careem can be used, or a private driver can be arranged.
  2. Tickets: Many museums and archaeological sites offer electronic ticketing.
  3. The program can be shortened to 3 days by combining the Coptic Cairo and Mummies day with the Citadel and Al-Muizz Street.
