General terms and conditions for excursions and tourist services provided by Egypt Desert Experience.

1. Scope of application

These General Terms and Conditions apply to bookings and inquiries regarding excursions, tours, transfers and other tourist services arranged or organized through Egypt Desert Experience. By booking a service, the guest accepts the conditions that apply to that booking.

2. Booking and confirmation

Booking inquiries can be made via WhatsApp, email or the other contact methods provided by Egypt Desert Experience. An inquiry alone is not a binding booking confirmation.

A booking is confirmed as soon as the date, the service and the essential booking details have been confirmed between the guest and Egypt Desert Experience.

3. Prices

Prices refer to the respective tour or service and may be given per person, as a total price or as a starting price, depending on the offer.

The price communicated and confirmed to the guest in the booking confirmation is authoritative. Services not expressly listed as included may cost extra.

4. Payment

Payment terms are communicated to the guest as part of each booking. Depending on the tour or service, the timing and method of payment may vary. The payment terms agreed for the booking are authoritative.

5. Pick-up and transfer

For tours that include pick-up or transfer, the pick-up location and approximate pick-up time are communicated with the booking. The guest is responsible for noting this information and being at the agreed meeting point on time.

Depending on the location of the hotel or accommodation, special transfer conditions or additional arrangements may apply.

6. Changes to the itinerary

The actual itinerary of a tour may change because of weather, safety requirements, official rules, traffic, organizational circumstances or other factors outside full control. In such cases the itinerary may be adjusted where this is necessary for the safe and proper running of the tour.

7. Weather and natural conditions

For excursions in the desert and other outdoor activities, weather and natural conditions can affect how a tour runs. Safety comes first. A tour may therefore be adjusted, postponed or, in exceptional cases, cancelled if it cannot be run safely.

Natural events and wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

8. Behaviour and safety

Guests must follow the safety instructions of guides, drivers and other responsible persons during the tour. This applies in particular to 4×4 safaris, sandboarding, desert camping, swimming in natural springs and other outdoor activities.

Nature, rock formations and protected sites must be treated with respect and must not be damaged.

9. Health and participation

Guests are responsible for judging before the tour whether their health allows them to take part in the booked activity. Please tell Egypt Desert Experience before booking or before the tour about any health restrictions, pregnancy or other relevant circumstances. Additional requirements may apply to certain activities.

10. Children and minors

Minors may take part in tours subject to the conditions of the respective activity. Parents or accompanying adults are responsible for checking that the tour is suitable for the children travelling with them before booking.

11. Cancellation and rebooking

If a guest wishes to cancel or rebook a tour, Egypt Desert Experience should be informed as early as possible through the contact options provided. The conditions for cancellations, rebookings or possible refunds depend on the tour and on the conditions agreed at the time of booking.

12. Cancellation by the organizer

If a tour has to be cancelled for safety reasons, unsuitable weather, official orders or other extraordinary circumstances, we will try to find a suitable alternative with the guest, for example a new date or another suitable arrangement.

13. Personal belongings

Guests are responsible for their own personal items such as phones, cameras, documents, money, jewellery and other valuables. Please keep your belongings safe during each activity.

14. Services of external providers

Some services within an excursion may be provided by external providers, such as transport companies, hotels, camps, local guides or other tourist service providers. The terms of those providers may also apply to their services.

15. Changes to these terms

Egypt Desert Experience may update these General Terms and Conditions if the services offered, organizational processes or legal requirements change. The arrangements confirmed for a specific booking are authoritative for that booking.
